About Me

Hi, I’m Yuhao DU (Kurt DU), a current MPhil student in Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHKSZ). I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering from CUHKSZ in 2024. My research interests are primarily centered on large language models (LLMs) and their diverse applications.

Research Highlights

  • LLMs in CAD: We explored the feasibility of leveraging large language models in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tasks. This included constructing a high-quality 3D modeling dataset: BlendNet and benchmark: CADBench, and open-sourcing a state-of-the-art (SOTA) LLM: BlenderLLM in this domain. For more details, check out our GitHub repository and arXiv preprint.

  • Progressive Vocabulary Expansion in Arabic LLMs: Our research introduced a progressive vocabulary expansion strategy to address the out-of-vocabulary (OOV) challenges in Arabic large language models, leading to significant performance improvements. The detailed results are available on arXiv.

Current Focus

My current research focuses on end-to-end speech language models (SLMs), with a particular emphasis on enhancing the understanding and reasoning capabilities.
