About Me
Hi, I’m Yuhao DU (Kurt DU), a current MPhil student in Computer Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHKSZ). I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Financial Engineering from CUHKSZ in 2024. My research interests are primarily centered on large language models (LLMs) and their diverse applications.
Research Highlights
LLMs in CAD: We explored the feasibility of leveraging large language models in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tasks. This included constructing a high-quality 3D modeling dataset: BlendNet and benchmark: CADBench, and open-sourcing a state-of-the-art (SOTA) LLM: BlenderLLM in this domain. For more details, check out our GitHub repository and arXiv preprint.
Progressive Vocabulary Expansion in Arabic LLMs: Our research introduced a progressive vocabulary expansion strategy to address the out-of-vocabulary (OOV) challenges in Arabic large language models, leading to significant performance improvements. The detailed results are available on arXiv.
Current Focus
My current research focuses on end-to-end speech language models (SLMs), with a particular emphasis on enhancing the understanding and reasoning capabilities.
